Wie offen sind freie Radios wirklich?
„Inklusion“ und „Interkulturalität“ sind nur zwei Begriffe, die fallen, wenn es um die Zugangsoffenheit im freien Radio geht.
In den meisten freien Radios finden sich dann aber doch eher männliche* Personen zwischen 25-40 mit akademischem Hintergrund.
Welche Faktoren beeinflussen die aktive Teilhabe an unser aller Lieblingsmedium und was kann jede einzelne Person und jedes Radio tun, um Zugangsoffenheit zu gewährleisten?
Im ersten Teil des Workshops werden zwei konkrete Projekte vorgestellt, anhand derer man das Thema gut besprechen kann.
Im zweiten Teil gibt es einen moderierten Diskussionteil, in dem wir zunächst Erfahrungen von Euch als Teilnehmenden an Projekten, als auch für Radiomachende sammeln und gemeinsam festhalten, wie wir uns ein zugangsoffenes Radio vorstellen.
Katja Röckel, studierte Medien- und Kommunikationswissenschaftlerin und Erzeihungswissenschaftlerin ist seit fast 20 Jahren bei Radio blau (Leipzig) aktiv, zum einen als Sendungsmacherin von „Mrs. Pepsteins Welt“ zum andere als Medienpädagogin. Als letztere betreut sie viele Projekte mit Kindern und Jugendlichen und Erwachsenen im Kontext Radio.

A quel point les radios libres sont-elles vraiment ouvertes?
L’“inclusion“ et l’“interculturalité“ ne sont que deux termes utilisés lorqu’il est question de l’accessibilité des radios libres.
Dans la plupart des radios libres, nous retrouvons cependant une majorité d’hommes diplômés âgés de 25-40 ans.
Quels facteurs influencent la participation active et que pouvons-nous mettre en place pour assurer l’accès de tou.te.s à notre média favori qu’est la radio?
Dans la première partie du workshop, deux projets concrets seront présentés et qui constitueront la base pour nos discussions.
La deuxième partie du workshop sera dédiée à la discussion. Il s’agira d’un échange d’expériences des participant.e.s et nous allons essayer de retenir tous les points qui nous paraissent indispensable pour une radio qui se veut accessible pour tou.te.s.
Katja Röckel a fait des études en science de la communication et des médias. Depuis une vingtaine d’année, elle est active chez Radio blau (Leipzig), aussi bien en tant qu’animatrice de l’émission „Mrs. Pepsteins Welt“, qu’en tant que pédagogue des médias. Dans cette fonction, elle accompagne de nombreux projets avec un public d’enfants, de jeunes et d’adultes.

To which extend are free radios really open?
„Inclusion“ and „interculturality“ are two words that are often used in relation with the openness of free radios.
However, in most free radios you will find a majority of well educated men aged between 25 and 40.
Which factors influence active participation in our favorite media and what can each one of us and the radio structures do to guarantee true openness?
In the first part of the workshop we will present two projects with the help of which the topic can be well discussed.
The second part will consist of a moderated discussion in which we will collect your experiences as participants in projects, as well as radio makers and define together how we imagine a truly open radio.
Katja Röckel studied media- and communication science, as well as pedagogics and has been part of Radio blau (Leipzig) for nearly 20 years. On the one hand as the producer of the show „Mrs. Pepsteins Welt“ and on the other hand as a media educator. In this role, she is in charge of many projects involving children, young people and adults in the radio.
