(DE) Journalistische Grundregeln und politischer Aktivismus – ist das ein Widerspruch oder sollte das Hand in Hand gehen?
Als freie Radios haben wir den Anspruch, politisch Aktive zu unterstützen und marginalisierten Personen selbstbestimmte Meinungsäußerungen zu ermöglichen. Wir wissen um die Unmöglichkeit „neutraler“ Berichterstattung und finden es wichtig, die Stimmen zu empowern, die anderswo nicht gehört werden. Aber manchmal, vielleicht sogar immer öfter, kommen wir dabei an Grenzen. On-Air-Äußerungen, die nicht direkt unseren Statuten widersprechen, uns aber trotzdem (auch politisch) unwohl fühlen lassen. Hier möchte ich mit Euch anhand praktischer Hörbeispiele erarbeiten: wieviel und wenn ja welche journalistischen Grundsätze brauchen wir vielleicht doch, um hier klarer zu werden und unseren Ansprüchen trotzdem folgen zu können?

(EN) Basic journalistic rules and political activism – is that a contradiction or should they go hand in hand?
As independent radio stations, we aim to support politically active people and enable marginalized people to express their opinions in a self-determined way. We are aware of the impossibility of „neutral“ reporting and find it important to empower voices that are not heard elsewhere. But sometimes, perhaps even more and more often, we reach our limits. On-air statements that do not directly contradict our statutes, but still make us feel uncomfortable (also politically). Here I would like to work with you on the basis of practical audio examples: how much and, if so, which journalistic principles do we perhaps need in order to become clearer here and still be able to follow our standards?

(FR) Les règles de base du journalisme et l’activisme politique – est-ce une contradiction ou cela devrait-il aller de pair ?
En tant que radios libres, nous avons l’ambition de soutenir les personnes politiquement actives et de permettre aux personnes marginalisées de s’exprimer de manière autonome. Nous sommes conscients de l’impossibilité d’une couverture médiatique „neutre“ et trouvons important de donner du pouvoir aux voix qui ne sont pas entendues ailleurs. Mais parfois, peut-être même de plus en plus souvent, nous atteignons des limites dans ce domaine. Des déclarations à l’antenne qui ne contredisent pas directement nos statuts, mais qui nous mettent tout de même mal à l’aise (y compris politiquement). J’aimerais étudier avec vous, à l’aide d’exemples pratiques, dans quelle mesure et de quels principes journalistiques nous avons besoin pour être plus clairs et pour pouvoir malgré tout suivre nos exigences.
